Mg zs-t

Ideas time.... my brain has started ticking over for a new project later in the year.. making a zs-t .. i know a few people have mentioned it and ive seen a couple of 45 tourers in the past .. initially my plan is cosmetic.. get a cheap civic aerodeck and replace honda panels with mg.. probably a mk2.. . my debate is the engine.. 1.6 vtecs seem to be the most common engine so most likely what ill end up with... can anyone give me an unbiased opinion on how that compares to a 1.8 k series... and can i squeeze a bit more out of the honda without huge expense... i know swapping for a rover engine would make it more of an mg than a honda..but is it worth the time and effort.. (particularly as its something id have to get help with) also..i know there's the 1.8 honda lump in them, but they seem to be a bit harder to come by, and im led to believe that there are other issues like different pcd on the wheels og the 1.8 cars...
