Head gasket!!!!

Hello I just recently bought an 04 mg zt 1.8 turbo (k series engine) the car is in immaculate condition for age has 83000 on the clock and full service history. The Car feels solid and a dream to drive and within days the head gasket went I've had two opinions from different mechanics. 1st mechanic says it's worthwhile getting it repaired and he has never had anyone come back to him when he has repaired head gaskets. 2nd mechanic says it's not worthwhile fixing and he could happily take my money but I'm basically throwing money away so what I'm asking is it worthwhile getting repaired? Thanks
