Problem turning ignition key
Just lately I've been having trouble turning the key in the ignition of my 2003 45. It seems to be getting worse.
It just doesn't turn even a millimeter, as if it's the wrong key. Usually if I waggle the key about a bit and turn the steering wheel back and forth a little it's ok. (Don't know if turning the wheel helps but I do it out of habit)
But today I really thought it was stuck for good. Spent 10 mins looking like a car theif in Tesco car park - I really thought I'd had it. The steering lock hadn't clicked in from when I'd parked up - don't know if that's part of the problem? It did click in as part of my fumbling, and a minute later the key just magically turned.
Any idea how to sort this out? Is the barrel worn or something?
