L Series engine differences....

Hi,

Bought a 45TD off ebay with a goosed engine.

Looking to source an engine or the relevant parts to repair/rebuild the existing one.

Are there any major differences between the actual engines i.e castings etc?

Is it possible to interchange Heads or blocks from non intercooled/cable pump motors to the intercooled/electric version & visa versa?

I know the injectors, pumps, pipework differs, but is the stuff like crank, rods, pistons, heads, cams etc the same/interchangeable?
