MX5 vs MGTF

Lets say a 2003 Mazda MX5 and a 2003 MGTF both with full service history and both with 50.000 miles on the clock. Which would be more reliable or need less money spent on it keeping it on the road? and why? apart from money spent keeping it regularly serviced. :)
