Tf exhaust silencer strap question.

Tf exhaust silencer strap'band question.



Does anyone know if the strap part can moved around, independently from the bracket, that attaches to the cat?



I do not want to remove the bracket. It is well and truly rusted on.

I want to either

1) Cut the existing band/strap off, job done.

2) Replace just the strap. Fabricating a thin metal strip which

can be bolted together, squeezing the silencer and bracket

together.





On another note is there any high temperature paint that can inhibit rust?
