Rover 416 engine conversions/upgrades (mems 1.9)?
I know these days if you want to upgrade or tune a k series motor you really need to srart off with a MEMS 3 car as the ecu can be re-mapped.
However, is there anything that can be done with a Rover 416 - which I believe is MEMS 1.9 for a performance increase?
Is there a way of fitting TF 135 cams into my engine? I am guessing that I probably cant as there wouldn't be a way around the drive for the rotor arm/dizzy?
Would a 1.8 non vvc k series lump fit straight in? I would probably stick with the R65 box+shafts to be honest. (Not a fan of the PG1 they all end up whining and have sloppy linkages).
Would I need the ecu from a Rover 218 of MGF? Or would my standard Rover 416 ecu run an 1800?
