Tonneau cover woes!!

A neighbour having seem my TF decided that she had to have one too and we managed to find one locally- not easy here in France.



She is shortly heading south so wanted to fit the tonneau cover, but could we make it fit - impossible!!!



The tail that goes into the boot just woodn't work. That was when I discovered that some Swiss idiot (the previous owner we suppose) had put 2 pieces of 20mm diameter BROOM HANDLE in the cover in place of the normal plastic tubes!!!



Now it's sorted, but it took 20minutes to remove the wooden parts they were so tight in the cover.



I wondered if anyone else had seen such a crazy thing.
