Hi

I've messaged before about this but I'm still at a dead end. I can't get any cheaper end OBD scanners to work -- the fancy one at the garage works fine, and I know the scanner works fine on my dad's 00 Vectra. Pins 4 and 5 are actually bridged in the scanner itsself, so that isn't the issue. The scanner gets power (red light) but can't ever communicate with the car.

I notice that pin 8 isn't wired on the scanner, but is on the car. What is pin 8 on the car? I've been searching for wiring diagrams but haven't found anything.
