Window mechanism repair

Hi, between the 2 Rover BRM's and the Streetwise I now have 3 broken driver's side window mechanisms. The fault is/has been the same on all cars. It's one of the hard nylon rollers in the long slide bar which eventually breaks up. Always the driver's side because that one gets used all the time obviously! I have replaced two mechanisms complete, but I would like to know if anyone has found an easy fix? I need to find a suitable replacement roller - and then a way of attaching it to the lift mechanism. The original rollers have a huge "rivet" through the centre, for want of a better word.
