Difficult starting
Good morning folks. TD series 1 2.0. Have a starting problem that has got progressively worse. Checked and double checked the timing, The after set up as per manual the Pump tool slides in and out with absolute perfection. I have changed the bleed offs. Checked no1 injector resistance and the fuel supply all seems fine. The problem is pretty intermittent. The earths seem fine. Had thought it was the battery not delivering full vooma in the morning. Anyone got new ideas?
Has the VP 30 pump got a micro filter at the pump? Is there a thread on the repair / check of the non return valve of the bulb? Has anyone ever changed the bleed of pipe insitu that fits between the No 4 injector, seemingly to join the bottom of the VP30 ? No way I want to strip out the pump to replace it to find that it was an easy item. Could be that this is the problem. Also thought it could be a leaking injector gaskets / seals but then the car starts perfect all day, Thank you in advance.
