Engine management light on

Hi all, hope you're well. Got a problem with my streetwise 2.0 Diesel 04 Plate. Cars done 107000 so not many miles. Engine management light came on couple of days ago and is staying on. Incidentally, its the one on left side of dash with exclamation mark in middle of engine sign.

I've tried using ELM 27 to find fault but it can't find any (also read on net that the second mngt light is only on diesels)

Also tried couple of ideas of net, i.e turning key three times in ignition, as well as disconnecting battery for half hour to clear memory. I've also read on some other forum that its the diesel fuel filter that wants renewing.

Any help would be appreciated.....
