Not quite new just a bit late...

Hello everyone

I actually joined (I see in my history) in 2010, which seems a bit staggering as I can't believe that's 5-6 years ago...and I may be repeating myself.

Anyway I've 2 cars, both 827 Honda-engines: one is a 1995 Sterling saloon and the other a 1994 Coupe. I'm in New Zealand and the Sterling was sold here new - actually registered in 1996 due mostly to difficulty selling them; the revamped 825 model was also for sale so this one had been hanging around for quite a few months 'on the floor'. The Coupe I bought as a Jap import a few years ago.

Both have now done approx. 170000 km (just over 100k miles) and are in excellent/good condition although an ongoing house restoration has put all but important work on hold. Got a few small paint scrapes on the red and - no joke - the Coupe was delivered by a one-armed driver and I think she must have taken out a post when driving out of the garage: bad paint scrape on the bumper left-hand curve with some paint scrapes. Didn't notice it until the next day as it was about 9pm at night in the middle of Winter - and i wanted to go back to the pub! Was in the South Island of NZ and had to fly down and then catch an 'orrible bus to get to a small town.

Plan is to bring these both up to scratch visually as well. I'm fortunate in that I discovered as a main agent mechanic who worked on these when they were being sold. Like most others I look in general for trim parts etc. and unfortunately my source is eBay with expensive shipping charges.

Will become more attentive to this forum as time allows now
