Rover 200 Shock Absorbers - help!
Hi,
I've got a bubble shaped 200, which is my everyday car. In the quest for an improvement in handling (and, importantly, a nicer ride height!) i bought a full set of rover 200 BRM shocks and springs (used).
after being left a while sitting, i finally had time to take them apart to clean them up before fitting, but, sadly, it seems one of the front shock absorbers has bitten the dust.
while 3 of the four shocks take a firm push to compress them (just the bare shock, no springs!) then return by themselves, one takes less force (but still some) to push down, but then doesn't return.
as i can't seem to find any of the correct BRM part number shocks, are they interchangeable with any other shocks from 200s, 25s or ZRs? seems that people have different opinions of whether or not all 200s had the same shock and it's only the spring and bump stops that's different (which would be great, i could just swap the springs to my current standard shocks) or not.
hoping someone can clear this up for me!
cheers
