Hi, i have noticed that about 25% of the time my fuel gauge reads incorrectly. I know for a fact that i currently have between a quarter and half a tank of diesel but the gauge will sometimes read three quarters or even a full tank. a few years ago when i had my old CDT, I had the in tank fuel pump replaced and since doing so the fuel gauge tended to be somewhat erratic but not to these extremes.
Is this a known problem or just simply a bad sender?
