Airbag warning light

I just wondered..................

I've been given a V6 tourer. It was free - mostly 'cos of the leaking thermostat (now sorted, and what a pain that was) but also because the airbag warning light is on.

I know the stories about wiring under the seat (my current 75 has an intermittent light, usually triggered after I've had a passenger) but on this one its on permanently. As the MOT is on Saturday morning, and its dark when I get home, I've no time to look for a fault. I've popped out the binnacle, but is there an easy way to get at and disable the bulb?

Not that I would ever dream of doing such a thing - this is purely a theoretical question obviously!!
