Does the ECU need to "learn" new MAF?
Does the ECU need to "learn" new MAF?
So I have fitted a new bosch maf. As the car was hesitating under load and "hiccuping" did stall once too. New fuel filter was the first and considerably cheaper check!
But, having not read a manual until after was is a simple job. The manual says the battery should have been disconnected prior to changing.
So, my question is, does the ecu really need to "learn" that there is a new maf there? (Just what i've read on some sites) and if so, will it do this after a certain amount of time, without disconnecting the battery?
