2.0 Diesel not starting - No power to fuel pumps?

Greetings everyone.

At the end of the tether. Have a 2001 75 2.0 Diesel. Car has been a dream up until recently. The car wouldn't start and the fuel pumps weren't priming.
I got to the ecu, which was bone dry, and earthed pin 10 (to the relay) and both pumps primed. Assuming the ECU was at fault I sent it to ECU doctor. They cloned the unit for me and sent it back on a recon ECU. Plugged it in and she started fine. Started it each day for the last 3 days and no problem. However, started it today and put it into reverse (Auto box) and went to move and it stalled. The car hasn't started since and again there's no power to the fuel pumps .

Any ideas on what else I should be looking at or do we think it's a duff ECU?
