Hi,

There I was happily drilling out a sheared sub frame bolt when bang! The drill bit broke half way up the hole. Does any one have a suggestion for how I can recover the situation.
The bolt is 10mm (8.5mm shaft), I had already drilled a 4mm pilot hole and was widening it with a 5.5mm bit which broke, so there is very little room to drill up the side. I thought I might drill out the 5.5mm bit with a 6mm bit? Can it be done?
All suggestions gratefully received.
