abs warning light

unusual one this car MG ZS 1.8 last couple of visits to workshop for serviceing etc, customer mentioned ABS warning light illuminated sometimes then not on other journeys. on all occasions there were NO dtcs recorded so other work carried out and no apparent fault obvious so customer happy to proceed.

anyway on latest visit light on permantely still no dtcs, but road tested vehicle and abs functions normally,my gut instinct leads me to think the abs modulator/ecu assy is not cancelling the self test function on first ign turn on. due to cost of this part and different model versions cant really justify replacement. this is not a problem until next MOT.

can anyone shed any light on this.
