Alternative hydrolastic systems?

Just been idly kicking some thoughts around on what to replace the Hydragas system with. Has anybody had any experience retrofitting Citroen Hydractive on any other make, or will the F take an alternative system based on the same principles? I understand the issue with going to coilovers re shocker top mounts etc which is why I was thinking of an alternative hydropneumatic system... Any thoughts?
