custom speedo surround

i have posted this everywhere on facebook but just thought i would share it here for a second opinion :) posted a few weeks ago about molding a gauge into the speedo surround and this is what i ended up with :)



first i chopped away tell i could fit the visor in and when i was happy tiger sealed it into place





once the tiger seal was dry the fun started :)







after 4hours of rubbing down and was happy with with it, i felt it was time to paint, primer went on first





next was the silver paint, then the candy red and finally the clear coat, left 24hours to dry and this is the end result







i remember people saying they had to cut away at the dash to make the speedo fit, so i had a go at lining it up. old surround was removed and as the photo shows i have not cut or modded the dash in anyway





gauge was fitted with brackets, nuts etc that came with the gauge





and it fit like a glove :)





all wired up and finished :) few more photos below, what do you all think ?











also had time for a little fun and had my exhaust all done and sounding alot more chunky :P
