Diagnostic software

I asked this a couple of weeks back and got no interest. Surely someone has an answer ... though this time, the question is slightly different.



I've got a 2005 ZR160

My son's got a 2007 Subaru Imprezza WRX (the 2.5l turbo version)



We want to do a reasonable amount of our own servicing. Can someone recommend some decent software for the home mechanic.



I'm experienced in old school mechanics, not this modern computerised stuff. The My lad not at all. Both of us able to learn.
