Hi I'm new to this forum

Hi my name is Karen Udeoji and I have got my Dads old Rover MG ZR and I love it. However, it leaks water, I have bought a cover for it but I cannot unscrew the ariel on top of the car. Please can someone help me? Does the ariel unscrew or is it a permanent fixture as I can't put the cover over it or it will rip. Many thanks in advance. Karen
