Diesel 45 starting problem
Hi Guys,
Just need a little of your expert advice. I own a Rover 45 diesel, X reg. Mint car and very proud of it. A joy to drive. No problem starting after glow plug light went out. Not failed over the 9 months I've had it. Had the Timing and pump belts changed, got home from work to find the car took 10 seconds or so to start. Mechanic came back, changed 2 heater plugs, car fired up, but lacked power. Found the fault to be MAF sensor. Changed for new and goes like a rocket, but the starting on a morning is around 5 seconds. This car never failed to start after light went out. I also changed the 3rd heater plug, but not made much difference. Once started, the car runs like a dream. I was wondering if anyone has experienced this problem before and could it be anything to do with the relay. This has to be moved when the pump belt is changed.
Cheers for any info,
Beer Glass
