Jiggle valve removal question
I have been having problems with airlocks forming in the radiator for some time.
The system has been properly bled, the cap replaced, thermostat changed etc.
The jiggle valve from the inlet manifold constantly blocks (check by squeezing the thin pipes to see which jiggle valve is working etc.
Today I took off the inlet manifold and the jiggle valve is full of crud - looks like old radweld (coppery brown).
As the system probably contains remnants of radweld, no matter how well I clean it out I am proposing to remove the jiggle valve to ensure that it does not block again (even though I will clean it) and lets air flow to the coolant tank when it needs to.
Later on, when funds permit, I will be replacing the radiator, SS coolant pipes and maybe PRT but this will be a few months.
Has anyone got any views on removing the jiggle valve ball bearing?
Will it cause major problems?
Will it be OK?
Thanks folks.
