Locking wheel nuts - Aaarrrrrggghhh

So I'm currently running the TF on its winter tyres, one of which appears to have a slow puncture so I decide to switch back to summer tyres earlier than planned and fix the puncture as and when I can be bothered. It's a nice day and winter's probably just about done now, although obviously we'll get snow tomorrow. Dug the wheels out of the shed after shifting numerous kids' bikes - do they breed in sheds or something? - gave them a lovely clean, borrowed a mate's trolley jack and cracked on with changing the wheels. Quick 20 minute job tops even for someone as technically inept as me, right? As if.

Started on the offside rear wheel. Jacked the back of the car up, got all the nuts off ok but would the wheel actually come off? Would it balls. After a bit (a lot) of swearing I do all the nuts back up and plan to come back to that wheel after doing the others, as you do. Anyway, in doing up the locking wheel nut it appears that I've messed up the apparently soft as butter wheel nut key. It's not one of the McGard type keys, it's the one that fits into 2 little slots on the edge of the nuts although mine doesn't now - when I try to undo the nut the key just slips off and twists up at an angle. It looks misshapen and I don't have a vice, tools etc to try and squeeze it back into shape. So now I've got to spend my day off tomorrow chasing round trying to get a replacement key (Wilcox in Wickwar here I come, bet they haven't got eh right one in stock though) or preferably some non-locking nuts. This all sounds really trivial now I see it written down but believe me the Gloucestershire air was blue this afternoon.

Aaaaaannnnd relax.
