Shortened gear lever in Mk2 MGF

Amazing difference in length especially as I only actually cut off 3/4" (19 mm):-

With new real wood retro MG gear knob fitted.



I did thread down to the shoulder the unthreaded part of the lever which accounts for the extra length reduction as the new wood knob now screws right down to the shoulder.



It will be interestign to see how it compares to the MK1 which has the same gear knob fittd but an unaltered lever:-







The gaiter has settled a bit allowing about an inch (25 mm) of plain shaft showing.
