Body control unit question

Hi everyone,



My BCU has developed a fault with the wipers and screen wash system. I am going to replace the BCU, I understand the replacement will need re coding, however I understand that providing the unit is from the same spec car, e.g high line most functions should work straight away, Is this right, and is there anything else I should beware of such as a correct procedure for u plugging and plugging the new unit in?
