Exhaust blowing from Flexi Pipe on MG ZT diesel query....
Hi Guys,
Thanks to L319 member have pin pointed where exhaust blowing from.
Is the Flexi pipe, this between the CAT and downpipe of exhaust system and has metal braiding around to protect, carbon deposits on braiding a good tell tale sign is blowing from here.
Looked in 'how to for common probs' section and searched lots of threads, Because of cost of complete new exhaust , i have had quotes from £340 - £550 fitted, as mine is original all in one piece exhaust as from new (143,000 miles, not bad eh and rest of exhaust perfect, been told poor condition of our roads is causing quite a few flexi pipe failures of late as the name implies allows exhaust to flex) as adviced in many threads I have perused you can purchase a flexi pipe for around £30 and have it welded in place of old one.
Question:
Anyone recomend where best to aquire a flexi pipe for my MG ZT Diesel. Following Links are what I have unearthed so far, 2nd link appears best and implies they should be clamped and welded so for me that's a garage job:-

Question:
I am from Blackpool anyone know of somewhere close to me that will do the job?
my usual garage wont entertain, neither will local exhaust business. From threads Kingswinford exhausts do it for £100 but in West Midlands so too far, other places that do Powerflow Exhausts (specialist franchise that do the flexi pipes) nearest to me are Bolton, Morcambe or Acrington, will ring these tomorrow see if any of these can do it,
Will let folk know how I get on...........
Thanks in anticipation for any guidance offered.
Steve
