MG ZR Immobiliser......Again!

1. Bought a matched pair of ECU, 5AS and fob. Diagnostics said the 5AS was bad.

2. Installed both pieces and all worked except......

3. After installation I cannot:

Lock the doors (horn sounds) with fob.

Driver and Passenger windows do not function.

When I put the car in reverse I a get an audible sound from the 5AS.

Doors lock when I put in Drive and move forward.

4. After installation things I can do:

Start the car

Operate the horn, wipers, fog, intermittent wiper, washer pump front and rear.

Fob will unlock the door from the inside.



The 1st thread I saw was perhaps I got a set that was for a manual car instead of automatic (MK1 vs. MK2). I am ready to pull the 5AS out after looking at your pics of one to see if it has a relay for the Drivers window. Will this let me know if I have the wrong part for this car?



Some Questions:

Did I perhaps hook up the parts in a wrong order?

Can I try to re-sync the fob to the 5AS without clearing out the code?

Possible that a relay in the 5AS is bad?

Truly possible I have a manual and not automatic ECU and 5AS.
