Rear Wiper/Cooling Fan Not Working
For the past couple of weeks, my rear wiper has not been working so well. You'd flick the switch and then, maybe it would come on when it felt like it.
I just assumed it was the rubber of the wiper blade snagging on the glass or something. Once activated though, it would usually work all day if needed. But then would jam again the following day.
So yesterday, it gave up the ghost completely.
So I'm driving to work and after about 4 miles, I notice the temperature gauge soaring upwards to the red.
I pull into a layby before any damage is done and realise the cooling fan isn't kicking in.
I have a look at the fuse panel and, coincidentally, both the fan and the rear wiper run off of the same fuse.
However, the fuse (yellow 20amp) is intact. Despite this, I try another just in case. No joy.
I check the fuse in the engine bay and the relay and both are fine.
Now, also, the header tank seems to empty itself. At least after my last 2 destinations.
Any ideas?
