insurance claim, help!

on the 27th of January this year, i was involved in a three car collision, i was the car at the back , the car at the front stopped way before some lights for no reason, causing a golf to hit him, and me to hit the golf, the most damage was to my cat (a broken number plate) nobody took details, except number plates, the guy i hit said everything was cool no worries, the middle aged people st the front got out with smirks on saying well well well....and they said they would only claim if they 'had to'



now, nearly four months later i get a text off of admiral saying i have been involved in an accident etc etc



do i have a leg to stand on beings though its been so long and because the guy at the front stopped for no reason?
