MGF smaller front wheels - a question

One for the more technical on the forum perhaps.



The original Lotus Elise S1 had 15" front and 16" rear wheels and, as lotus usually know what they're doing, I was wondering if anyone has tried similar with an MGF.



What advantages could there be putting aside any issues with brake disc size?



I would welcome opinions on 15" and 16" rather than 16/17 at this stage if anyone has any thoughts.
