More done!
Well I've been a busy boy since buying this little 25, so far it's had new oil & filter, sparks, fuel and air filters, pollen filter, new disks and pads on front, readjusted shoes on rear, been doing a little undercoating to protect the high risk areas and been refurbishing a set of cosmos alloys to go onto the car shortly.
Apart from the possibility of a impending head gasket failure all has gone well, car is off the road until it has been dealt with but gives me more time to put the rest to the standard I like :)
Alloys are coming on well, except for the primer is c***! Went for Simoniz Grey Primer as I had about 6 cans at work that I had been given, went on well, but so easy to burn through while flatting off, even with 1200 wet and dry and gentle working, we live and we learn, my experience from previous alloy repairs is that primer is so fragile until topcoated, but still this is a joke!
All in all I wanted to thank you guys for all the tips and guidance I have recieved on here already, I may be a new member who didn't know of the existence of this site until a week or two ago and have owned quite a few MGR/Rover Group products, but the vast amount of info and assistance that is on here is remarkable and quite amazing to see. Keep it up and on payday I think I'll take up that supporters membership!
