Alternator replaced not sure about wiring?!
Hi everyone,
For the first time in 4 years my zs broke down on me on the M4 2 days ago, the breakdown guy advised my alternator was buggered and recommended i change the battery at the same time as its quite old now! anyhow this morning i went to my local motor factors picked up a recon alternator for £117, ive just put it all back together and i aint too convinced with the wire thats held on by the nut to the side of the regulator! the female one plugged straight in but the plastic mouldings around the regulator seem to stop me being able to tighten the nut all the way! its on a good way and seems to be against the nut that was supplied with the new alternator! has anyone else experienced this problem? its a zs 120 with air con just for the record
