Battery Flat

As the title says. Off to work this morning only to be greeted by a no start TF. Battery flat a a pancake, 7 volts across the terminals. OK on saturday. Charged up and all good at the moment. Alternator checked and ok. Humm. Just wondering if the battery is the original.







Any one know if this is the case. Not done bad for 11 years if so. Or is it something more sinister?
