ZR Alarm Problem

Hi guys and girls. My mums 2002 MG ZR 120 keeps having the alarm go off when locked. To save a few suggestions on things to try, I have listed what I have checked;

• Tailgate loom is ok


• 5AS is ok


• 5AS test showed all doors/bonnet/boot work as they should


• Fuses all ok


• No sensor fitted inside

One thing I have noticed, when I tried to lock it yesterday all doors locked but the indicators didn't flash, I unlocked it and the lights flashed. I tried to lock it with the key but only the drivers door locked/unlocked. When I tried to do the 5AS test it took 4 attempts of locking/unlocking the drivers door with the switch inside before it armed the central locking, at which point when locking the car the lights flashed again.



I've noticed it's got a Rover 25 exterior door handle fitted, which all leads me to believe there is a fault with the locking motor in the door?
