coolant bottle/integral float wiring info.

Im in the process of getting a secondhand original fitment coolant bottle,from MGFnTFBITZ,and just a quick question as to the wiring.I think I have found the wiring loom plug,tucked into the corner,by the bottle,the same type plug as fitted to the coolant sensor? is it a simple as plug it into the float wiring plug,and the dashboard lamp should work if the level drops? I do not have to search out a blank space for a relay,it is all already done? The lamp lights now,on start up,as a form of 'self test' I assume,and goes out with the rest of the lights,but its not connected to anything,engine side.
