Coolant loss after coolant flush. advice.
Hey folks.
A few weeks ago I carried out a coolant flush as it had not been done in years. Was an awful colour.
Anyway, disconnected the bottom hose and followed Haynes manual instructions and also visual diagrams from here. All went fine and got new coolant put in.
The bottom hose was near hanging off and I am so glad I caught that. I put it back on nice and tight.
However, since my flush, I am losing coolant. I have no drips under the car that I can see. I have checked for mayo signs in both coolant, under oil cap and also checked oil. No signs.
I have no white smoke coming from car and no overheating issues.
I had mentione this problem on MG group on FB and some mentioned trapped air. I opened the expansion cap whilst cold and still I am losing coolant. I topped it to the max line yesterday evening and then drove a 15 mile journey. Checked the expansion bottle bottle 30 minutes ago and it was below the MIN level.
Going to do a full inspection tomorrow following the coolant loss guide on here.
Though any advice or tips beyond the guide would be great.
I have a friend who is a mechanic so if I can not find anything I will hire his services.
And to think, it passed MOT with zero advisories only 4 weeks ago. I should have touched wood.
