dry panel filter

does someone tried it with the l series? does someone think that it can be a good solution between the original filter and the oiled panel filter? i mean: the original filter maybe don't let pass enough air, and the oiled panel filter can damage the debimeter. so what about the dry panel filter? a friend of mine says that it doesn't ''clean'' enough the air, and that it let pass too much impurities
