hi, initial post

hello,

my name is russell brown i used to be member on the 75zt club a few years ago i was lucky enough to own a 75 v6 conny and fell very much in love with the car.

family needs have put me with a renault grand espace diesel at the minute.

as decent as it is i still missed that lovely walnut view everyday, promotion at work and vehicle expenses paid with a lot of driving around gave me the incentive (and excuse) to have a "work" car just for me/work

I came across a lovely 2003 r45 diesel 4dr with lovely leather interior i would swear seats are straight out of a r75, i have an old set of sandstone pre project headrests that fit straight in so next mod will be source some black ones.

i brought for realistic money because seller reckoned turbo gone as unresponsive until turbo kicked in then took off like a rocket...maf ordered.

i plan to fit sdi i jectors remap etc, chrome mirrors be nice if i could get bullet covers on..maybe..full chrome grille like i had on 75

i have new clutch/ slave/ master done

brake servo-cylinder/ discs/ pads replaced

wheel bearings and track rods done prior-however drivers side still wobbles so shall be done again

cambelt done

so off to a good start hope i blend in here, knowledge on here invaluable as car important to my income=maintained regardless.

i live in dudley west midlands-anyone in area be happy to get to know you,

i work in facilties management travelling most of west midlands

im just approaching middle aged, got some experience not scared of oil/ grease...reason i like rovers, anything else we shall find out as we go

oh and also got tf steptronic with oxford leather me and father in law own between us for the sunny days:)
