new boy
Hi all.
I have just brought a MGF VVC. I had one a few years back that I seam to remember was a lot quicker. The car was boiling over when I got it (cheep). The fan did not come on. I have replaced the blown fuse in the drivers foot well. The relay was also faulty. New relay and the fan still does not come on. If I unplug the sensor the fan comes on due to sensor fault. THe temp gauge does never reads above just below half way, even when the car is boiling. I have removed both temp sensors and will check them in boiling water later.
What I would like to know is how to check if the VVC is working correctly. The car feel like it has a lot less that 150 HP. Does any one know a check that will confirm if the VVC works?
