Rover 75 temperature problem
Dear All,
Greetings. I bought a Rover 75 2004 3 weeks ago (I love it!) and suddenly it started to have several issues concerning to the cooling system. one week ago the heater was blowing only cold air.
After 2 days, the temperature gauge got to the top and the car sent me a message through the dashboard. I stopped the car and put water to refill the radiator. After this the heater started to blow some warm (not hot) air.
Today, the temperature was on top again. I opened the bonnet/hood and I saw green water drops over the engine. I put the rest of the water I was carrying and the car started with the check engine message on. I drove the car to the local garage and the mechanic said I could be either the head gasket or a leak in the cooling system. Then, he checked the radiator cap and he said it was broken (he said the cap had a valve which was broken).
Any ideas? Thank you in advance!
