Rot in the winscreen surround

Hi all. Haven't been on here for a while since the head gasket job and the old girl has been going well.

I'm on the cosmetic stuff now in the shape of the windscreen surround. I've noticed some rot setting in on the left-hand post adjacent to the edge seal on the windscreen.

What I need to know is, can I remove the surround and replace it without removing the screen?

The rot is pretty deep and its not just a case of a rub-down and paint.
