headgasket done, engine sized. ffs

hi all.



had water chacket bridge across to the oil jacket on the zr 1.4, SO removed head , had skimmed , replaced everything. drove about 10 mile perfect. got back in it done 1 mile, oil lpressure light came on. misfired once , pulled over , ignition off, checked oil, fine, like new still. went to start , metal to metal sound. **** . fried the rings . SO what could have caused this. i took the sump off etc cleaned everything.



only thing i can think of maby is oil water mix in the oil pump... casing it to air lock as such and fail?



any ideas...



pt this lump in 5k ago, and it had only done 9k from new. bloody rover
