stepspeed bearing

Afternoon all,



My mg tf 120 stepspeed has developed a whirling noise on acceleration which gets worse the higher the revs. I have been told that this is most likely the primary bearing as it is coming from the gearbox location. It has progressively got worse so I guess I will need to get it replaced.



Does anyone know anywhere in and around Basildon essex this can be done? would it need to be a CVT specialist? and any idea on cost?
