hi had rover 45 1800 from new 2000 had 2 headgaskets done but think this ones on way out ran it out of oil a week ago so topped it up too much now but it keeps going don't drive it hard as always under 3000 rpm doesn't appear to smoke so have I done any damage do you think am hopeless with cars but wont be forgetting oil again its a country road car (north Yorks Moors) so its not sat in traffic ever idling away plus I never go faster than 50mph just wondered if anyone could put my mind at rest over needing new head gasket many thanks folks
