Looking at buying a ZR 160.

Hi all.

I've finally negotiated a straight swap deal for 2004 ZR 160 after owning a 2004 TF 135 that I inherited. I needed the extras seats really.

The ZR I've provisionally agreed to buy has good bodywork and interior and has just passed an MOT. I can't see any rust of bubbling anywhere. It is in need of some mechanical work doing though. The exhaust tailpipe needs replacing and the brakes could do with servicing and checking over as its been sat for a while. It has some advisories on the bushes. None of this is too costly. However, the main problem is there is no history of a cambelt change and this will need to be sorted asap. I don't really fancy taking the job on myself as I'm told its a specialist job? Are there any MG mechanics in the Essex area? And how costly should this job be?

Also, I'm going to look at the car on Sunday for a final check over. So far the guy has seemed pretty open about the cars faults. He has even agreed to buy the parts to fix the vehicle. I just need to carry out the work myself or pay someone else to do it. However, what components tend to be the weaknesses of the ZR 16o and where should I befor common faults?
