Fan problem rover 45

Hi, please could anybody help?



I have a 10 year old rover 45 and the heater/fan is now making a lot of noise when I turn the screen blower on, I've had it to the garage and they said the fan has gone and cannot get a new part anymore and would want £450 to fit a second hand one with no guarantees. can any body advise of what type/parts I would need and I'll fit it myself? the garage were a little reluctant to state which part had actually gone and 450 is nearly the value of the car.
